The Amity High School Student Government is continuously trying to make sure the the voices of the students are heard within our body. Please feel free to contact us if you have any concerns or questions about our government.
Requests for Funding
If you are a club at Amity High School and would like to request funding for your club, please write formal request to the Student Government telling us who you are, how much money you are asking for, and why you feel the student government should be funding your club. Once this is complete, please leave the formal request in the Student Government mailbox in the mailroom or email your letter to len.marazzi@reg5.k12.ct.us.
*Please remember that requests do take time to process and must be approved to be placed on the agenda by the advisor of the Student Government and/or the Executive Board. The club president will be notified if the request will be placed on the agenda.

Principal Committee Chairperson
The Principal Committee works directly with the principal and the administration to improve the school. Please contact our chairperson if you have any issues you would like to have brought up during a meeting.

Chartwells Committee Chairperson
The Chartwells Committee works to improve school lunches and school lunch prices. The committee also works to compromise between the student’s interest and the company’s interest. Representative to the Advanced Placement Committee
The Representative to the Advanced Placement Committee is responsible for attending AP committee meetings and expressing the views of the AP students whenever it is needed. The representative is required to be in at least 2 AP classes each year. Please contact this person if you have any concerns that you would like to have brought up during meetings or if you would like to comment on current issues before the AP committee.

The Representative to the Curriculum Committee is responsible for approving any new polices regarding the curriculum at Amity High School. If you have any questions, like to discuss a new policy, or comment on an existing policy please contact the representative.

The Student Representative to the Amity BOE serves as the voice of the student body. This person is responsible for updating the board on school activities as well as introducing policies that have strong student support.
